You've seen the commercials here and there advertising "shea butter" in their product to enhance moisture in hair care products. Well let's see if using shea butter all alone on the hair works....

I have natural hair and usually use a moisturizer with jojoba oil..it has a very creamy consistency....but my hair is very dry at the end of the day..
So..I tried only shea butter today and here are my results....
Looks kinda dry..but it feels great! Needs some oil..(jojoba, coconut, etc.) Soon I will post some recipes and ingredients of products that others are using in addition to shea butter for the full "moisture" effect!
Stay tuned......

1/4 c regular "rinse out" conditioner

3 tbs Shea Butter (softened)

2 tbs Jojoba Oil

1 tsp Tea Tree Oil

3 tbs Glycerine

After shampooing hair, heat Shea Butter in microwave for 10 sec to soften. Whisk together all ingredients until you have a smooth, creamy consistency. Section your hair and apply the mixture to each section fully saturating the root, shaft, and ends. Place a plastic cap on your head and let sit for an hour or overnight. Rinse
